Tiara Cakes, Cecil Dehydrated Fruits also join Munchee
Ceylon Biscuits, a Sri Lankan manufacturer and marketer of biscuits under the brand, Munchee, has set the ground for introducing their biscuits in China, reported Foodbizdaily .
Along with the company’s biscuit brand, Tiara Cakes and Cecil Dehydrated Fruits are making their debut in China. This launch is the outcome of negotiations between M. P. Wickramasingha, chairman of CBL, and Catic, a Chinese syndicate which has a chain of hotels, restaurants and supermarkets in its portfolio.
With this agreement, CBL has made China its 45th market on the list of countries where it has set up the export deals. The company had shipped its first consignment, which had organic dried foods: pineapple, mango, papaya and banana; and organic fruit juices to be sold at Catic hotels.
The company manufactures more than 70,000 mt of biscuits per year.
